Zheng is currently a PhD student in the Decision, Risk and Financial Sciences Program at the University of Melbourne, where his research focuses on understanding the process and behavioral aspects of human decision-making.
He holds bachelor’s degrees with honors in finance, economics, and mathematics from Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree in economics from the London School of Economics. Zheng had experience as a full-time pre-doc research assistant at Harvard University, involving experimental economics projects in intertemporal choice, cognitive uncertainty, and confidence. Prior to commencing his PhD, Zheng also spent two years at Deloitte, researching and developing quantitative financial models and robo-advisors for regulatory and financial institutions.
Zheng’s current research explores the impact of computational complexity on economic decision-making , as well as the potential of market and FinTech in affecting and improving decision-making efficiency. He is collaborating with LIPNE as part of a lab rotation where he will assist with and contribute to ongoing research projects in the lab.
